Altenew + WPlus9: Love You Card

Altenew & WPlus9 Love You Card by Maria Byrd | CraftsyByrd.blogspot.com

This first post (Woo-hoo!) features my Love You card perfect for Valentine's day, Mother's day and Birthdays.  Lush florals and foliage from Altenew Peony Bouquet and Beautiful Day stamps and colored with Altenew Crisp Dye Ink Cubes in Rose Petal and Summer Afternoon.

"Love You" sentiment from WPlus9 Biggest Fan is stamped on a tag from Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Park Avenue and heat embossed in goldRanger Distress Inks in Forest MossMowed Lawn, Barn Door, and Mustard Seed.  A touch of Wink of Stella adds shimmer to the peony.

Strips of Post-it Notes temporarily hold the pieces in place during assembly.  The arrangement is glued on a DCWV Gilded Paper Stack die-cut with A2 size Lawn Cuts Stitched Rectangle Stackables.  This piece is then adhered to the front of the card (used Neenah heavyweight cardstock) with double-sided tapeFoam mounting tape can be used to raise pieces for a 3-D effect.  Though, I made mine flat for mailing ease and lower postage cost.

Inside the card, a smaller heart is gold-embossed on center of a larger one and combined with yellow bloom, green foliage, and strip of gold accented DCWV paper.  The hearts are from Lawn Fawn Snow Day.  This extra touch ties in wonderfully with the front design and shows the 💗 throughout.
