PicsArt: Fuzzball Birthday Card

PicsArt Birthday Card by Maria Byrd at CraftsyByrd.blogspot.com

While I was playing with the cute Fuzzball, I ended up taking pictures of him.  Then, I found myself downloading PicsArt app which was quite easy to use.  Its filters and other tools allowed me to create a 'digital art' version of the original photo. From this, I crafted a birthday card for spring season.

Photoshop Layers
I downloaded the animated GIF file which was comprised of different images during manipulation.  The file was then sent to my email and opened on PC with Photoshop Elements where each image showed up as a separate layer.  Layer 1 was the original picture I took of Fuzzball with my cell.  This file only had 6 layers but it could vary depending on how many filters, backgrounds, etc. were used.

Layer 5 seemed to be the best one for this project.  After saving the original file, the other layers were deleted and then saved the new file under a different name.  The image was printed on a lighter Neenah 80# cardstock with an inkjet printer.  (Note:  If all you want is just a card with your digital image, an option is to have Zazzle produce it for a charge.)

To add shine and highlights, I traced some lines with corresponding colors from Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll Pens.  A few drops of Glossy Accent was used to add dimension to Fuzzball's nose and eyes.  The white highlights on his fur and eyes were enhanced with Sakura White Glaze Pen.  Then I carefully cut around the image (aka 'fussy cutting') using Cutter Bee precision scissors and framed it on layers of yellow, purple and Taylored Expressions Hello Happiness cardstocks cut with dies from Sizzix, Lawn Fawn, and Die-namics.

'Birthday Wishes' sentiment from Altenew Floral Frame was stamped in black on a white cardstock and lightly dabbed with Distress Ink in Broken China.  Corners were trimmed with a corner rounder punch and sequins were added for embellishment.

I would like to enter this Birthday Card to the following challenges:
